This prestigious recognition places him among the top 1% of cited researchers globally, an accolade awarded to 477 scientists working in the field of clinical medicine.
Remarkably, this marks Professor Bondarenko's 5th consecutive acknowledgment as a Highly Cited Researcher since 2018, bringing international acclaim to his alma mater, the Dnipro State Medical University of Ukraine, and the entire oncology research team at the Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital 4 in Dnipro, Ukraine. 🏆

🇺🇸 The United States remains home to the highest concentration of Highly Cited Researchers globally, with 2,669 in 2023, accounting for 37.5% of the group — a slight decrease from previous years. 🥇
🇨🇳 Mainland China maintains its second position this year, boasting 1,275 Highly Cited Researchers, amounting to 17.9% — more than doubling its share since 2018. 🥈
🇬🇧 The United Kingdom maintains its global third position across all research fields, boasting 574 researchers (8.1%). Specifically, in Clinical Medicine, 46 researchers from leading institutions like the Institute of Cancer Research, University of Oxford, University of Aberdeen, among others, have earned recognition as Highly Cited Researchers. 🥉
🏫 Harvard University leads among institutions, boasting 237 Highly Cited Researchers, ahead of Stanford University with 126. Notably, the Chinese Academy of Sciences tops all institutions, including governmental and other research organisations, with 270 Highly Cited Researchers — a rise from 228 last year.
